"Shareware" (also referred to as User Supported Software) is a 
distribution method used to provide the public with useful software 
at a very low cost.

It involves a low cost distribution method for the author and a 
low purchase price for the user.  It also allows a user the 
opportunity to try out the software and see if it meets their needs 
before they decide to become a registered user.  If you
continually use the program beyond the "tryout" stage, the author, who 
put years of experience and many hours of labor into the production of 
the program, depends on you, the user, to send in the registration form 
and fee.

The registration fee for this program is $25.00.  When you register 
you will also receive:

                    QUICK REFERENCE:

The Portable Punchline uses a fast and efficient Menu system to 
display the various options available to you throughout the program. 
If you ever get lost, first check the information lines on the screen, 
then if needed, press <Esc> to back up to the previous menu. You can 
make menu selections by any of these methods:

#1 Use the right & left arrows to move to your 
selection then press the ENTER key.

#2 Use the spacebar & backspace keys to move to 
your selection then press the ENTER key.

#3 Simply press the first letter of your selection 
such as S for SEARCH or P for PRINT. 



Below are several commands that will be helpful for 
entering, editing, and retrieving comedy material 
in your data base.
